Terry Hunt, Partner

Terry has spent the majority of his career in senior management positions of Natural Foods companies. He is a proven operator having built two significant businesses by recognizing and responding successfully to changing consumer tastes for new products, initiating new product development, successfully executing new distribution strategies and installing and operating cost effective and profitable infrastructures.

Terry believes that among the most important components in motivating and inspiring team members is exhibiting honesty and trustworthiness, treating others with dignity and respect, and working well with others in a team setting.

Prior to founding Preserve Capital, Terry was the CEO of Good Health Natural Foods, a leading supplier of all-natural snacks, beverages and body care products. Terry was a member of a group that completed a private equity purchase of the company.

Under Terry's leadership, Good Health nearly doubled revenues to $28 million in just over two years. Key elements of the growth program included a rebranding and reintroduction of the product lines, investments in key sales personnel and the creation of a vendor partnership program.

Prior to Good Health, Terry was President and Co-founder of Sunspire Natural Foods, a manufacturer of over 200 internationally distributed natural confections. The Sunspire line of confections became the dominant brand within the Natural Foods industry and acquired its main competitor, FruitSource Chocolates. Sunspire was sold in 1999 to a private equity firm and became the platform for further acquisitions. The resulting 5 company combination, nSpired, was sold in 2004 to American Capital Strategies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: ACAS).

Earlier in his career, Terry was an auditor for Arthur Young and Co.

Terry holds a Master's with an emphasis on History and Literature from Stanford University and a BS from Menlo School of Business.

He lives in San Francisco with his wife Laura and their two children and is a passionate guitar and tennis player.
